CHRISTMAS MAGIC 'Holiday Harvest' event will help Easter Seals



Dinner, dancing, auctions and raffles are on the agenda.
BOARDMAN -- The Angels of Easter Seals has selected "Holiday Harvest" as the theme for its 17th annual Magic of an Angels Christmas event to be held Nov. 22 at Antone's Banquet Centre as a benefit for Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
Scheduled to begin with a social hour at 6:30 p.m., the event will include a gourmet dinner at 7:30 followed by dancing, raffles, live and silent auctions, a Dig for Gems and Semiprecious Stones event and a cash bar. Valet-secured parking will be provided.

The cost for the evening is $65 a person, $85 a patron and $100 for grand patrons. To make reservations call the center, (330) 743-1168.
Among the items to be auctioned are six decorated theme trees, a children's outdoor cedar playhouse, a ride on the Goodyear Blimp, four loge seats to a Cleveland Browns game, a slot machine, English Christmas China table setting for twelve, a titanium golf package, two first-class airline tickets to anywhere in the continental United States and a golden retriever puppy.
Those interested in supporting the event may donate $25 for the purchase of an ornament to decorate the Children's Magical Tree. The tree will be among those auctioned during the evening.
Also participating in the auction will be media personalities Stan Boney of WYTV, Frank Marzullo of WFMJ and Catherine Bosley of WKBN.
Offered at the silent auction will be 75 holiday and designer items, 20 domed miniature Christmas trees and an assortment of gift baskets. One of the baskets contains four club seats and a pennant signed by Cleveland Cavs player Dajuan Wagner, and another contains a football autographed by Jim Tressel and Ohio State University memorabilia.
Six theme trees with gifts valued up to $1,000 underneath will be raffled. Books of tickets for the raffle are available from any Angel or by calling the Easter Seals Center.
