BOOK OF FOOLS
There's nothing like reading about other people's stupidity to make you feel like a certified genius. And that's the beauty of & quot;Hey, Idiot! Chronicles of Human Stupidity, & quot; by Leland Gregory (Andrews McMeel, $9.95). The stories of real people's hilariously dumb behavior will have you rolling - and will make you feel like an Einstein-caliber whiz kid.
We don't want to ruin the fun by giving you too many examples, but the story about a fireman who burned down his own firehouse is a classic. And trust us, that's only the beginning. You'll be amazed at what people will say and do.
Find & quot;Hey, Idiot! & quot; at bookstores or online booksellers.
TUNE TIME
After all the news this summer about music download lawsuits, chances are, you're thinking twice before downloading your favorite tunes for free. But some changes to Apple's cool (and totally legal) online Music Store make it appealing to download music guilt-free.
The store is now available to both Mac and PC users, so everyone can share in the glory of downloading great songs. And if 99 cents per song seems like too much of a commitment (which it might, especially if you had been getting them for free), check out the new & quot;allowance & quot; feature. You can ask Mom and Dad to put some money in your Music Store account. Or, if you know you only want to spend $20 a month from your after-school job on music downloads, use the allowance account to regulate your spending.
The Apple Music Store has tons of songs by artists of every stripe, and it's so easy to use, your parents can probably even figure it out. Head to http://www.apple.com/itunes/store/ for the scoop.
