XYOUNGSTOWN -- St. Columba Cathedral was the setting at noon Oct. 4 for the wedding of Tammy Lynn Dennis, daughter of George and Clara Dennis of Youngstown, and Michael Stephen Smith, a son of Phil and Karen Petrella of Youngstown.
The Rev. Lawrence Fye presided at the ceremony. The couple were honored during a reception held at St. Mary Assumption Social Center before leaving for the Riviera Maya in Mexico. They live in Youngstown.
The bodice of the bride's strapless A-line gown was enhanced with crystals and pearls, and the skirt flowed into a chapel train.
The honor attendant, Peggy Colantone, wore a purple gown, as did the bridesmaids, Melissa Novits, a cousin of the bride; Heather McDowell; Tracie Odom; Samia Rafeedie; Renee Conti; and Marye Macfarland. Flower girl was the groom's cousin, Sierra Petrella.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's brother, Mark Smith. Serving as groomsmen were Kevin Dennis, the bride's brother; Phillip Petrella and Michael Petrella, brothers of the groom; John Jones; Corey Colantone; and Michael Ianazone. The bride's cousin, Brandon Shannon, was ring bearer.
The bride is a surgical assistant with Mill Creek Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates, Austintown.
The groom, an office manager with Autograph Network Inc., North Lima, is attending Youngstown State University.
