NILES Missing boy, 14, found safe at grocery store

NILES -- A missing 14-year-old boy was found safe today.
Police said Noah "Billy" Lott of Kearney Street was found at Tops grocery store on U.S. Route 422, across from the Eastwood Mall.
He was seen at a checkout counter by someone who knows him and has been returned to his parents, police said.
Police had resumed the search today for Billy, who had last been seen at 3 p.m. Tuesday at McKinley High School.
Police Chief Bruce Simeone said Billy's backpack was left at school at the end of classes Tuesday. It contained a map of the Mosquito Creek area.
Police and firefighters searched the creek in a boat Wednesday, and the banks and wooded areas in all-terrain vehicles and on foot. Simeone had said the same territory would be covered today.
"We've covered about every wooded area," the chief said before the youth was found.
A boy matching Billy's description bought candy at the Dollar Store on U.S. Route 422 near North Road.
Simeone said Billy was reared in Missouri and likes to be alone in the outdoors. He sometimes wanders off.
