XBOARDMAN -- James Swantek of Boardman and his bride, the former Melissa Mastell of Struthers, spent their honeymoon in the New England states after their wedding at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at St. Charles Church.
Officiating was the Rev. Daniel Venglarik, and a reception was held at the Maronite Center, Youngstown.
Parents of the couple are Matthew and Rose Mary Mastell of Struthers and Andrew and Theresa Swantek of Boardman.
Mrs. Swantek graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's in education in counseling. She is a therapist with D & amp;E Counseling Center, Youngstown. Mr. Swantek earned a bachelor's in business administration at YSU. He works in retail sales at Sky Bank in Struthers.
They live in Boardman.
The bride's organza and schiffli lace gown was styled with an illusion neckline and A-line skirt.
Her sister, Marci Mastell of Struthers, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Christy Carbone of Charlotte, N.C.; Lisa Dubos of Columbus; Anna Marie Masi, the groom's cousin, and Jessica Kengor, both of Youngstown; Tina Lippillo of Struthers; and Christine Zetts of Pittsburgh. They wore cranberry dresses.
Best man was John Dubos of Columbus. Groomsmen were Greg Swantek of Boardman, the groom's brother; Matt Mastell of Struthers, the bride's brother; Al Masi of Campbell, his cousin; Lou Garland of Pittsburgh; and Keith McGarry and Pat Testa, both of Boardman.
