XGIRARD -- Jill A. Jacobs of Girard became the bride of Harry A. Steele of Hermitage, Pa., during a ceremony Sept. 27 at St. Rose Church. The Rev. Peter Haladej officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Howard and Gail Jacobs of Girard and the son of Harry Steele Sr. and Mary Gerrish, both of Hermitage.
The newlyweds received guests during a reception at St. Mary Assumption Social Center, Youngstown, then left for a honeymoon trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. They live in Liberty.
The bride wore a light ivory satin gown styled with a beaded bodice.
Mrs. Steele graduated from St. Elizabeth Health Center School of Nuclear Medicine Technology, Youngstown. She is a nuclear medicine technologist at Ohio Heart Institute, Youngstown.
Mr. Steele is employed by First National Bank in Hermitage. He graduated from Clarion University in Clarion, Pa., with a degree in finance.
Lauren Jacobs of Girard, the bride's sister, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Chrissy Vesely and Julie Ginocchi, both of Girard; Susan Angiuli of Canfield; Janine Tessean of Parma Heights; and Melanie Kardos of Hermitage. They wore cranberry dresses.
Paul Steele of Hermitage performed the duties of best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Gary Steele of Hermitage, the groom's brother; and David Lait, Anthony Currie and George Gill, all of Hermitage; and Donald Hosford of Fairview, Pa.
