Davis jubilee is celebrated at dinner party

XYOUNGSTOWN -- Friends and family members honored Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davis, 4116 Shelby Road, by arranging a dinner party to celebrate the couple's 50th wedding anniversary.
Invited guests attended the evening event Sept. 26 at TJ's at the Holiday Inn, Boardman.
Among those planning the party were their family members, William and Jane Davis of Southborough, Mass.; Victoria and Thomas Latimer of Canfield; and Gary Davis of Austintown. There are seven grandchildren in the family. The couple's other daughter, Patricia Davis, is deceased.
Mr. Davis and the former Dorothea Michael were married Sept. 26, 1953, at the Chapel of Friendly Bells at Trinity United Methodist Church, where they are members.
Mrs. Davis is a member of the Ivy League Garden Club, and her husband, who served in the armed forces from 1942 to 1945 during World War II, is a member of Youngstown Rotary Club. She is a bookkeeper and he is chairman of the board and treasurer with the Daugherty-Davis Co.
