HUBBARD
Oct. 22
Arrest: A Hubbard woman was arrested in Coitsville on one count of failure to appear in court on a domestic-violence charge.
Oct. 23
Recovered property: A man turned over to police a cellular phone he found near a pavilion at Harding Park on Roosevelt Drive.
Theft: A woman in the 100 block of South Main Street reported items stolen from her garage.
Oct. 24
Theft: An employee at Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave., reported someone took a sump pump.
Fraud: A woman in the 100 block of Moore Street reported someone was using her checking account in a fraudulent manner.
Theft: An employee at Devine's Shop 'n' Save, 529 N. Main St., reported catching a suspected shoplifter.
Oct. 25
Criminal mischief: A man in the 100 block of Youngstown-Hubbard Road reported a substance resembling paint was poured onto his vehicle. No damage was done, and the material washed off.
Oct. 26
Theft: A man in the 500 block of West Liberty Street reported a toolbox stolen from his truck.
Oct. 27
Theft: A Hubbard woman reported her wallet stolen while she was at Hubbard High School.
Criminal damage: Someone slashed two tires on a truck parked in the 100 block of Church Street.
Arrest: A Hubbard man was arrested in Warren on one count of failure to appear in court to face a charge of driving under a suspended license.
LIBERTY
Oct. 17
Burglary: A man in the 300 block of Goldie Road discovered the front door open and later realized his residence had been broken into. A checkbook holder, a personal check and two credit cards were missing.
Oct. 21
Theft: Someone broke into a vehicle in the 2100 block of Colonial Drive and took an AM-FM/compact-disc player and 50 CDs.
Criminal damage: Someone damaged an electric meter on the side of a building in the 3100 block of Belmont Avenue.
Auto theft: A 2001 Audi S-4 was stolen in the 1300 block of Stonington Drive.
Recovered property: A 2000 Audi determined to be stolen was recovered in the TNS Intersearch parking lot, 114 E. Liberty St.
Arrest: Police arrested a 19-year-old Girard man wanted on a warrant charging him with felony theft.
Burglary: Police arrested a 34-year-old Youngstown man on a burglary charge after a woman and her boyfriend returned to find someone near the entrance to her apartment in the 3000 block of Northgate Avenue. Ten DVDs and an X-box game system were taken.
Arrest: After responding to a disturbance near a Save-a-Lot store, 3551 Belmont Ave., police cited a 40-year-old Youngstown man on charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
Forgery: A Niles man alleged his brother, 24, stole and passed two of the victim's checks at Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.
Oct. 22
Criminal damage: A woman reported her vehicle's passenger-side tires slashed and the car spray-painted, which caused about $800 in damage, in the 1500 block of Wilson Avenue.
Theft/recovered property: A 26-inch bicycle was stolen in front of a garage to a residence in the 5100 block of Belmont Avenue. Four bicycle frames were recovered near Liberty Street.
Auto theft: A 1988 Chevrolet New Yorker was stolen in the 200 block of Colonial Drive.
Theft: An undetermined amount of change was removed from a machine at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, 1620 Motor Inn Drive.
Breaking and entering: A man in his late teens or early 20s broke into three cabinets behind a counter at Cellular One, 4700 Belmont Ave. An undetermined amount of money was taken.
Oct. 23
Theft: Two license plates were missing from Sicilian's Autobody, 1280 Trumbull Ave.
Theft: A man in the 1300 block of Shannon Road reported giving $60 to a man, 21, to buy an AM-FM/CD player, and that the man failed to give him the item.
Burglary: Someone broke into a residence in the 10 block of Shady Lane through a rear window and removed $2,500 in cash from a dresser drawer, two 9 mm handguns and a $1,500 digital camcorder.
Arrest: After a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Belmont Avenue, a Niles man, 26, was charged with failure to appear in court to face an income tax charge.
Oct. 24
Theft: A Poland woman noticed four unauthorized charges on her debit card statement, and reported that her card may have been stolen while she was at a Speedway gas station, 4210 Belmont Ave.
Oct. 25
Drugs: After responding to a disturbance at the American Inn, 1600 Motor Inn Drive, police arrested a 28-year-old Clayton, Ind., woman on two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of drug abuse instruments. Officers say they found five hypodermic needles, six suspected crack cocaine pipes and other suspected drug paraphernalia in the room.
Oct. 26
Criminal damage: Someone tried to break into a van parked at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave., and damaged its driver's-side door.
Auto theft: A 2002 Kia Spectra was stolen from the Econo Lodge parking lot, 1615 E. Liberty St.
Assault: A Logan Arms Drive woman alleged a girl, 14 or 15, assaulted her 15-year-old daughter on a set of stairs at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a laundry room through a window and tampered with a dryer at an apartment complex in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive.
Auto theft: A 1994 Honda Civic was stolen from the Hampton Inn parking lot, 4400 Belmont Ave.
Recovered property: A 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 stolen in Niles was recovered in the Tallyho-tel parking lot.
Arrest: After responding to a domestic situation in the 1300 block of West Montrose Street, police arrested a 19-year-old Youngstown man on charges of domestic violence and cruelty to animals. A woman alleged her brother threw her cat over a nearby fence and against the side of a building, and that he pushed her to the ground.
Oct. 27
Recovered property: A man found two keys while he was at the Liberty Plaza, 3551 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A Girard woman reported police told her that her vehicle's license plates were missing, and that she thought they may have been removed while her car was at Precision Auto Works, 1711 Lincoln Ave.
Recovered property: A box containing two tarpaulins, possibly belonging to Youngstown State University, was found on the road near Belmont and Darlington avenues.
GIRARD
Oct. 25
Theft: An employee at a Rite Aid Pharmacy, 713 N. State St., alleged a girl, 14, stole an $8 disposable camera.
Vandalism: A woman in the 100 block of South Lorain Avenue alleged a neighbor cut a phone line to her home.
Attempted assault: A woman in the 100 block of East Howard Street alleged a boy, 9, tried to set her 9-year-old daughter's glasses on fire when the girl was at an East Second Street residence.
Oct. 26
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A woman in the 100 block of East Main Street reported her former boyfriend may have taken her 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier without permission. The car was returned.
Oct. 27
Vandalism: Someone threw three to four eggs at a residence in the 100 block of Morris Ave.
Vandalism: Someone broke an antenna wire hooked up to a residence in the 100 block of Olive Street.
Vandalism: Two people in the 60 block of Townsend Avenue reported their vehicles' passenger-side windows broken.
Vandalism: A woman in the 100 block of Church Hill Road reported her car's driver's-side window broken.
Breaking and entering: Nothing was missing from a vehicle in the 500 block of Lawrence Avenue after someone broke its passenger-side front window.
Vandalism: A vehicle parked in the 700 block of North Avenue had a passenger-side window broken.
Theft: Someone stole a $2,000 golf cart from a driveway at the Hillcrest Trailer Park, 173 Hillcrest Drive.

Theft: A man in the 100 block of Townsend Avenue reported an unknown number of checks stolen from his residence.
