FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

FRIDAY
XHoly Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod, Spanish rice or haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries, coleslaw, bread, and coffee or tea. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.
XHoly Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pirogi, hot pirogi lunches, and plain, cinnamon and powdered sugar doughnuts. Orders will be taken from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528. Orders should be placed early and are to be picked up by 2 p.m. Friday. Takeouts are by advance order only. Cost is $3.50 for a dozen pirogi.
XNational Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will be serving a fish buffet and selling pirogi. The buffet will be available from 3:30 to 7 p.m., and the cost will be $8 for adults and $5 for children. Potato and cheese pirogi may be ordered ahead as a takeout. The cost is $4 a dozen.
XPotato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316. Orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. The final sale of the season will be June 6.
XSt. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Frozen pirogi also will be available. This will be the last sales day until September.
XWest Austintown United Methodist Women will hold a bake sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wal-Mart on Mahoning Avenue in Austintown.
SUNDAY
XSt. Brendan Church will sponsor a cavatelli dinner from noon to 5 p.m. at Maxwell Hall, 144 N. Schenley Ave., Youngstown. Meals are $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Carryouts will be available.
XSt. Rocco's Episcopal Church will serve spaghetti and cavatelli dinners from noon to 4 p.m. in the parish hall, 239 Trumbull Ave., Liberty Township. Adult dinners are $6, and children's are $3 for those 6 to 12. Meals are free to those 5 and under. Carryouts will be available to patrons providing their own containers, or a container will be provided for 50 cents.
XAuxiliary members of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts of eggs, sausage, ham, hash browns, pancakes, toast, and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $3.50 for adults and $1.75 for children under 12.
