Golfers to scramble for prizes



Proceeds will be used for area projects supported by the club.
STRUTHERS -- Golfers are invited to participate the 16th golf outing to be held by Struthers Rotary in an effort to raise funds for area projects.
The event will be in the form of a four-man scramble and will take place June 6 at Pine Lakes Golf Course in Hubbard.
Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 9 a.m., and play will get under way with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. Lunch will be available at the turn, and dinner will follow completion of the tournament.
Hole-in-one prizes include a two-year vehicle lease, $10,000 and a $5,000 shopping spree. Team awards include $400, first place; $200, second place; and $100, third place. There will also be team skins, door prizes and a 50-50 raffle.
Sponsorship levels are $80 per player or $425 for a four-man team plus hole sponsor. Dinner only is $25, and a hole sponsor is $150.

Purpose
Proceeds will benefit Struthers Historical Society, Struthers Baseball League, Struthers Manor Senior Center, the community Thanksgiving dinner, a children's Christmas party, and Struthers High School basketball teams, cheerleaders, junior class, drama club, singers and Interact club.
