RECOGNIZED Mothers of Twins Club honors member as mother of the year



CORNERSBURG -- Youngstown Mothers of Twins Club honored a member during a banquet held April 26 at Davison's Restaurant.
Receiving the organization's Mother of the Year award was Betsy Pallo of Berlin Center. She will compete for the state title during an annual convention to be held June 21 in Dayton.
An 11-year member of the club, Pallo has served as president, vice president, recording secretary and corresponding secretary. She has chaired various committees and was involved with setting up the club's participation in the "Adopt A Highway" campaign. She is also active with the Ohio Federation of Mothers of Twins Club and has served on several state committees.
Pallo is a member of Mount Moriah Lutheran Church in Berlin Center, where she serves on the church council, is an altar assistant and member of the youth group committee, and assists with vacation Bible school.
She and her husband, Robert, have 12-year-old twin daughters. She has coached her daughters' softball team and has been a cheerleading co-adviser. She is employed at Everflow Eastern Inc., Canfield.
