DeBartolo scholarships
POLAND -- Denise DeBartolo York has awarded six scholarships, totaling $30,000, in memory of her father, Edward J. DeBartolo. The scholarships were given to high school seniors during a luncheon at the Poland Library on Thursday.
Selection from more than 250 applications was based on need, scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities and community involvement.
Recipients are Erica Brooke Antonucci of Cardinal Mooney High School, Matthew John Kuebler of Western Reserve, Robert Markwell of Niles McKinley, Jennifer Lynne McPheron of Brookfield, Ashley Ann Senich of Hubbard and William J. Smith of United Local.
