XYOUNGSTOWN -- Brenda M. Gordon, a daughter of John and Virginia Gordon, 2456 Shetland Lane, Poland, and Thomas P. Werner, a son of Robert and Kathy Werner, 65373 Mathews Road, Cambridge, received a papal blessing as they were united in marriage April 26 at St. Dominic Church.
The Rev. Frank Zanni, an uncle of the bride, presided at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony, and a reception was held for the couple at The Georgetown in Boardman. After a cruise to the western Caribbean, the couple live on West Boulevard, Boardman.
Beaded lace enhanced the bride's sleeveless matte satin A-line gown.
Lilac gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Michelle Connolly, and the bridesmaids, Kristin Scheetz; Lindsay Becker; Leslie Osman; Lindsey Coppage, the bride's cousin; and Sara Werner, the groom's sister. The bride's cousins and flower girls, Angela Zanni and Kasey Hohlbein, wore white.
Zacharey Brenning was best man, and groomsmen were Joe Stanfield, Sgt. Daniel Morrison, Travis Foraker, Gregory Johnson, and Jeffrey Gordon, the bride's brother. Her cousins Adam and Ian Hohlbein, were ring bearers.
The bride will graduate from the Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh with an associate degree in radiation therapy in July and will be employed by Mount Carmel Health Systems in Columbus.
The groom, a quality engineer with Treemen Industries in Boardman, graduated from Muskingum College, New Concord, with a bachelor's degree in physics.
