BECKY SHER | Hype Pictures perfect for bracelets

Wouldn't you love to make something so awesome-looking that even your best friend makes you swear up and down that you made it, because she doesn't believe you could have created anything so groovy? (Shame on her for not believing you are a creative genius!)
Luckily for you, "Picture Bracelets" by Sherri Haab (Klutz, $12.95) provides a virtually foolproof way to look like a serious jewelry artist when actually, you're pretty much all thumbs. The kit has everything you need to create trendy bracelets that can totally reflect you -- anything from your nickname to your biggest crush (the one in geometry class or the one on your fave TV series).
To make a bracelet, you use the two silver bracelets and 12 tiny plastic droplets that are included with the book. Then, you choose your favorite images from the many, many stickers provided, or from magazines, stamps, photo albums, yearbooks, newspapers or whatever else you have lying around. Cut out the pictures, stick them on the bracelet and pop a plastic droplet on top. (It's all about the double-sided sticky dots -- you'll see.) Once you get started, you'll have more ideas than you do wrist space, so start making them for friends. They'll never believe you made them yourself.
Look for "Picture Bracelets" at bookstores, craft stores or online booksellers.
Fabulous feet
Here's something we absolutely had to share: www.kissmyfeet.com. (And before you say anything, yes, we know $150 is a lot of money to spend on sandals. But you have to admit, even if you opt not to trade in your $5 flip-flops, these are pretty darn great.)
Kiss My Feet takes formerly boring Dr. Scholl's sandals (those wooden ones that scream "1970s") and turns them into gorgeous works of art, adorned with hearts, flowers, fruit and animals. They're hand-painted, and through some crafty magic, we're told, the paint won't smear off onto your feet (or ruin your pedicure). The only problem? If we had a pair of these, we'd want to wear sandals all year round.
Kiss My Feet sandals range from $155 to $175 (eek!), but a girl can dream, can't she?
