XAUSTINTOWN -- The marriage of Amanda Vinarsky, 1243 Woodledge Drive, Mineral Ridge, and Geoffrey Louis Mears of Newark was solemnized by the Rev. Rick Stauffer during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony April 26 at Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
Richard and Cynthia Vinarsky of the Woodledge Drive address are parents of the bride. The groom is a son of G.L. and Virginia Mears of Penny Lane.
After a reception at The Dutch Village Inn in Columbiana, the couple left on a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas. They live in Newark.
The bride's ivory gown was designed with cap sleeves and a scooped neckline. The bodice was embellished with pearls, lace and bugle beads, and the satin skirt flowed into a chapel train.
Periwinkle-blue gowns were worn by the honor attendants, April Hevener and the bride's sister, Pamela Vinarsky, and the bridesmaid, Angela Owrey.
Sean Sich performed the duties of best man, and serving as groomsmen were Jim Dunn and the bride's brother, Jonathan Vinarsky. Guests were ushered by Mac McComb.
The bride graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Prior to her marriage she was a behavior-counseling technician at Belmont Pines Hospital, Warren Campus.
The groom, a newscaster with radio stations WNKO and WHTH in Newark, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in telecommunications.
