Summary of police activity for Girard and Liberty Township:
GIRARD
May 18
Vandalism: A Warren man reported that someone used a key to damage his vehicle while the car was parked in the 100 block of Church Hill Road.
Assault, criminal damage: A man in the 100 block of Washington Avenue reported that a man damaged an apartment, and a woman alleged a 38-year-old man grabbed her by the throat while he was intoxicated.
May 19
Theft: An employee at Project Management Services, 50 Harry St., reported that some work orders and possibly other papers were missing.
Theft: Someone entered a fenced-in stockyard at A.G. Sharp Lumber, 1900 S. State St., broke into a vehicle and removed a tire. Also, a shed was broken into and a chain saw was taken.
Drugs: After responding to a possible heroin overdose at a residence in the 30 block of Townsend Avenue, police charged a woman, 18, and a man, 20, with possession of drug-abuse instruments. Three syringes were found inside the residence.
May 20
Theft: Someone broke a vehicle's driver's-side vent window in the 200 block of East Second Street, and an AM-FM compact-disc player and a CD case containing 30 CDs were missing.

May 13
Arrest: After a traffic stop at Forum Health Northside Medical Center, 500 Gypsy Lane, a 30-year-old Masury man was charged with probation violation.
Criminal mischief: Someone used blue string liquid to spray a vehicle while the car was in the 100 block of East Liberty Street.
Possible theft: A dealer plate was lost or stolen from a trailer parked at Jesus Is the Way Ministries, 319 Goldie Road.
Recovered property, theft: A woman in the 3400 block of Cardinal Drive reported that her son's bicycle was taken from a garage. The bicycle was found, but various parts had been removed.
May 14
Criminal damage: A man reported that his vehicle's passenger-side window was broken while he bought gasoline at Shell True North, 3990 Belmont Ave.
Burglary: A woman in the 1300 block of Will-o-Wood Drive discovered the front door to her residence open and a door jamb smashed after someone broke in and took a wristwatch, a pearl necklace, various coins and jewelry, a jewelry box and a few bottles of wine from a kitchen shelf.
Assault: A woman in the 10 block of Trumbull Court alleged a man tossed a beer bottle at her and struck a 2-year-old child as they walked on Hadley Avenue. The man said she threw a beer bottle at him.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 200 block of Colonial Drive reported a window shattered, possibly with a rock.
Criminal damage, theft: A Warren woman reported that two mercury lights were damaged at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Townsend Avenue, and that someone stole two light bulbs from a garage.
Breaking and entering: Police charged four 16-year-old boys, three from Youngstown and one from Girard, with breaking and entering after someone broke into K & amp;P Sportswear, 3551 Belmont Ave., through a front window and tried to steal $3,425.25 worth of clothing.
Theft: A woman reported someone removed $470 from her purse while she was inside a Shell True North gas station on Belmont Avenue.
May 15
Theft: After responding to a report of two stolen bicycles at a residence in the 1700 block of Naylor-Lloyd Road, police charged a 12-year-old Youngstown boy with receiving stolen property after officers alleged he was in possession of both bicycles. He also was charged with criminal trespassing and being a delinquent child.
Theft: A woman reported her driver's license, a checkbook, a credit card and $705 missing from her purse while she was at a Speedway gas station, 4210 Belmont Ave.
May 16
Attempted auto theft, criminal damage: Someone damaged the steering column of a 1989 Chevy Caprice in the 10 block of Holly Drive before trying to steal it.
Counterfeit: An employee at Burger King, 3219 Belmont Ave., reported a counterfeit $10 bill was passed in the drive-through lane.
Criminal damage: A man in the 3800 block of Sampson Road reported his mailbox destroyed and said he found roofing nails scattered on his driveway.
Auto theft: A 1988 Olds Delta 88 was stolen in the 10 block of Holly Drive.
Recovered property, theft: A woman reported someone stole her purse from her vehicle while she paid for gasoline at a Speedway gas station, 4210 Belmont Ave. The purse was found, but $80, a passbook and two credit cards were missing.
May 17
Assault: A woman in the 10 block of Holly Drive alleged her boyfriend shoved her and threw her to the ground during an argument at her apartment.
Breaking and entering: Someone cut a 1-foot-by-3-foot hole in a fence and broke into Miller's Towing, 4100 Belmont Ave. Twelve aluminum rims were stolen from a pickup truck.
Arrest: Police arrested a 22-year-old Youngstown man at the Liberty Plaza, 3551 Belmont Ave., and charged him with felony possession of cocaine.
Criminal damage: Someone tossed three eggs, striking a residence and vehicle in the 3100 block of Goleta Drive.
May 18
Arrest: Police arrested a 37-year-old New Springfield man at the Tally Ho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave., on a warrant charging him with fraud and passing bad checks.
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle for having expired license plates, police arrested a 42-year-old Vienna man wanted on charges of passing bad checks and drug abuse.
May 19
Assault: A Youngstown woman alleged her former boyfriend slapped her while they argued at Auto Zone, 3109 Belmont Ave.
May 20
Theft, burglary: Someone removed a garage-door opener from an unlocked vehicle in the 5000 block of Sampson Drive and broke into the residence through the garage. A set of car keys, $65, a debit card and a credit card were removed from the home.
