CALENDAR | Canfield Fairgrounds

Here is the schedule for this weekend's 25th annual Hot Rod Super Nationals at the Canfield Fairgrounds. Advance tickets cost $9 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6-12 and are on sale at area Shell True North Markets. Tickets purchased at the gate cost $12 for adults and $9 for kids. Children under 6 are admitted free. A two-day pass costs $18, while a three-day pass costs $27. On Saturday night, there will be a $15 carload special available at the gate. Participant registration costs $65.
THURSDAY, MAY 22
2-6 p.m.: Participant registration.
FRIDAY, MAY 23
(Gates open at 10 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.)
8 a.m.-6 p.m.: Participant registration.
1-3 p.m.: Paul LeMat, star of the film "American Graffiti," autograph signing.
5 p.m.: Grand champions parade from Canfield Green to fairgrounds.
SATURDAY, MAY 23
(Gates open at 9 a.m. and close at 10 p.m.)
8 a.m.-2 p.m.: Participant registration, also Super Prize Drawings, Family Fun Zone, Performance Marketplace, Werx Dyno.
10 a.m.-noon: Paul LeMat autograph signing, also Driving Games, Kids Games.
2-4 p.m.: Paul LeMat autograph signing.
4 p.m.: Pro Street Cruise (on fairgrounds).
5:30 p.m. -10 p.m.: Grandstand Show, includes Clear Channel Demo Derby, Burnout Contest, Acordia Demolition Derby, Flamethrower Cars.
SUNDAY, MAY 25
(Gates open at 9 a.m. and close at 4 p.m.)
All day: Super Prize Drawings, Family Fun Zone, Werx Performance Dyno Challenge.
Noon-2 p.m.: Paul LeMat autograph signing.
2 p.m.: Miss Hot Rod contest.
3:15 p.m.: Awards ceremony.
