New toll plaza set on Pa. turnpike in Cranberry Twp.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Travelers will see some changes on the Pennsylvania Turnpike this summer.
Turnpike officials are expected later this week to introduce the new Gateway toll plaza near the Allegheny and Butler county lines.
It will replace the plaza now at the Ohio border in Lawrence County.
The new plaza will open June 1 and be ticket-free.
Those traveling through will pay a flat $1 fee. Tolls at the New Castle, Beaver Valley and Cranberry exchanges will be eliminated.
Interchanges also will change. Turnpike officials plan to re-number all interchanges by milepost designations.
New Castle will become Exit 10 and Beaver Valley, Exit 13, say Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission officials.
