High school adds fee to driver's education

SHARON, Pa. -- Sharon High School students taking driver's education will now have to pay $25 for the driving portion of that class.
Classroom instruction will still be free, but the school board voted Monday to begin charging $25 for road work. About 100 students take the class annually.
The board also voted to increase ticket prices for athletic events, raising the single ticket price for adults from $3 to $4 and the senior citizen price from $1 to $2. Student tickets will remain $1.
Football season tickets will go from $12 to $15 for adults, and season basketball tickets will increase from $27 to $30.
Senior citizen passes will go from $2.50 to $5 each for football and basketball.
Student season passes remain $4 for football and $10 for basketball.
