Elderly couple killed in collision

VIENNA -- An elderly couple died of injuries they suffered when their car was hit by a tractor-trailer Monday afternoon at state Route 82 and Warner Road.
The driver, Melvin Hoare, 85, and his passenger, Sarah Hoare, 82, of Hillcrest Avenue, Hubbard, were wearing seat belts, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Hoare was driving southbound on Warner Road, failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled into the path of the eastbound truck being driven by Richard A. Brown, 49, of Omaha, Neb., about 4:40 p.m., the patrol said.
Brown was not injured.
