HOW TO WATER
Drip hoses are the best because they provide water in slow amounts, promoting deep root growth. If you don't have access to a drip hose, though, turn your hose on at low flow.
Point the nozzle at the root ball of the plant and let the water sink down at least 8 inches.
Be careful not to wet the leaves of the plant, which can cause mildew. Pine straw can prevent water from splashing onto leaves.
SIGNS OF OVERWATERING
Plants may look wilted
Shrub branches will start dying from the tips inward
Leaves will be small and yellow.
