Seven candidates seek three Democrat Party nominations to borough council. No Republicans are on the ballot so Tuesday's winners will likely be the winners in the November general election. Incumbents Nita L. Buczo and George M. Keryan as well as candidates Ray Foster, Ronald Viglio, Shirley M. Riley and Helen Duby didn't respond to The Vindicator's request for a candidate resume'. * denotes incumbent.

Priority: Create a code enforcement position that can be financially self-sustaining; Restructure community emergency response plan; Seek a government housing rehabilitation grant to create a program to help residents improve their homes; Work with the volunteer fire department on recruitment and fund raising.
