AUCTIONS
XFrank Ohl Middle School, 222 Idaho Road, Austintown, will hold a Chinese auction May 28. Tickets will be sold from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Winners will be notified by phone on May 29.
FESTIVALS
XSt. Brendan Church, Connecticut at North Schenley Avenue, will hold its 37th annual festival of games, food, rides, entertainment and fireworks. Hours are 6 to 10 p.m. May 28 and 29, 6 p.m. to midnight May 30 and 31 and 2 to 11 p.m. June 1. A ride-a-rama will held be from 6 to 10 p.m. May 28. There will be fireworks at night May 31 and a raffle on June 1.
FUND-RAISERS
XBoardman Christian Church will sell soft drinks, water and popcorn on the church lawn, Route 224, Boardman, during the Hot Rod Supernationals Friday through Sunday. Funds will benefit Lori Schilling, who underwent a lung transplant May 9 at Cleveland Clinic.
SALES
XSt. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center Auxiliary will sponsor a sale of garden plants from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the Park Avenue entrance. Hanging baskets and a variety of bedding plants will be available. Proceeds will benefit the guest house.
