Westminster College to dedicate and open $14M campus center
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Westminster College is opening its new 77,000-square-foot campus center today.
The $14 million Andrew J. Mc-Kelvey Campus Center is being dedicated at 5:30 p.m. There will be a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Andrew J. McKelvey, a 1957 Westminster College graduate, will provide reflections on "envisioning what lies beyond the status quo." Mc-Kelvey, a philanthropist who donated $3 million to the Campus Center project, is the CEO of Monster Worldwide, the online recruitment leader and parent company of Monster.com.
Within this three story state-of-the-art facility is the college bookstore, a movie theater, the mailroom, a cyber cafe, the Offices of Student Affairs, Diversity Coordinator, the Career Center, a grand ballroom, and many of the offices for student organizations.
