HUBBARD -- A crowd of more than 500 was treated to 41 bouts at the Hubbard High gymnasium Wednesday night in the third session of the 16th K.O. Drugs High School Boxing Tournament.
Twelve contests were stopped by the referee, with six each in the underclass and upperclass divisions.

The quickest fight was provided by Jake Guriceo, an upperclass light-heavyweight from Campbell Memorial, who took three steps out of his corner and tagged George Swauger from Fitch with a solid right cross, sending him to the canvas. Referee Jack Loew immediately stopped the bout with only eight seconds elapsed.
