Chaney shuts out Struthers 4-0; Justine Klopta allows four hits

STRUTHERS -- Justine Klopta threw a four-hit shutout and had a single and a double, and two RBIs as Chaney High beat Struthers 4-0 in the Division II sectional softball tournament Wednesday.
Third-seeded Chaney (15-7) will take on Cardinal Mooney, the second seed, in the Hubbard High School district next Tuesday.
Chaney beat Mooney 3-0 during the regular season.
Sheila Kollar went 3-for-4 with a double, while Jill Kocanyar added a single and a double for Chaney.
Struthers is 7-15.
Regular season
VIENNA -- Rhea Weimer had three hits, with a triple and four RBIs, as Jackson-Milton defeated Mathews 14-2 in an Inter-County League game.
Niki James added three hits, including a double and two RBIs, while Corey Velk doubled twice for the Bluejays (18-6, 10-4 ICL).
Velk (18-6) threw a six-hitter with 10 strikeouts at the Mustangs (7-15, 5-9). She has a chance to tie the school's season record for wins today against Lordstown.
