Blooms observe golden jubilee at Austin Manor



XAUSTINTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Bloom of 172 N. Main St., were honored May 17 at a dinner at Austin Manor in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. Hosts for the festivity were their daughter and son-in-law, Debora and Kerric Ray. Another daughter, Diana Bloom, is deceased. Three step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Bloom and the former Juanita F. Payne were married May 14, 1953, at Delason Methodist Church in Youngstown. He served as a seaman 1st class during World War II. He retired in 1980 from U.S. Steel McDonald Works where he was a heater, and then worked as a heater for McDonald Steel Corp. until retiring in 1988. He now is a tour director for 20th Century Tours.
His wife retired in 1981 from G & amp;W Distributing where she worked in advertising.
The Blooms are members of Western Reserve United Methodist Church where they are former members of the choir.
