MEETING THE CHALLENGE: Four Mahoning Valley pupils were the top winners in the regional 24 Challenge Math Tournament in Cleveland last month. They competed against 200 Northeast Ohio pupils, using math skills to reach the answer "24" from four other numbers on game cards. Winners are Kristi Mraz of Hillman Middle School in Youngstown, seventh-/eighth-grade winner, left, front; April Barlow of West Elementary School in Youngstown, sixth-grade winner; Joseph Myers of Volney Rogers Junior High School in Youngstown, platinum masters winner; and Nakkita Brown of McGuffey Elementary School in Warren, fourth-/fifth-grade winner.
