Sebring outlasts Lowellville 9-7 in Division IV sectional tourney



SEBRING -- Adam Jurica had three hits and three RBIs for the Sebring High baseball team in a 9-7 victory over Lowellville Tuesday in a Division IV sectional game.
The Trojans scored two runs in the top of the seventh to break a 7-7 tie.
Chris Christian had two hits and two RBIs while Ryan Byrd added three hits and two RBIs.
Monday in a district game, the Trojans (6-16) will play the winner of Mathews-Southington game at Cene Park.
Regular season
HOWLAND -- Dan Ford had four hits including a homer and a double as the Boardman High School baseball team defeated Howland 16-2 in a regular season game.
The Spartans (13-12) scored four runs in the first inning, three more times in the fourth to make it 8-1 and added six tallies in the seventh.
Chris Russo added three hits including a homer in a 18-hit attack.
Justin Byler and Sam Mann doubled for the Tigers (12-8), who were held to five hits by three Boardman pitchers.
Northwest 7, West Branch 1
BELOIT -- Jake Snyder homered for Northwest.
Drew Barker led the Warriors (13-5, 11-7 NBC) with three hits.
