* Dr. Diana Fagan of YSU's biology department will answer the question "What makes us who we are?" at the final "YSU Wizards" program of spring at 1 p.m. in the college's Ward Beecher Planetarium, Lincoln Avenue, Youngstown. Fagan's presentation on DNA is for children in first grade and up and their families. She'll include hands-on activity to illustrate how DNA makes us individuals. Stay after for the planetarium program "Solar System Adventure Tour." Admission is free.
* A Talent and Fashion Extravaganza, sponsored by the Independent Black/Minority Coalition of Kent State University Trumbull Campus, kicks off at 7 in the auditorium at Warren Western Reserve Middle School. Participants auditioned to be in this show. Admission is $5.

* Buy a ticket to see the past and present of R & amp;B music sharing the stage at Tower City Amphitheatre, Cleveland. Maze, the 1970s urban-contemporary group featuring vocalist Frankie Beverly; singer Patti LaBelle; and crooner Jaheim will perform June 22. Call Ticketmaster.
* Classic Car Cruise-Ins begin next week in downtown Geneva, Ashtabula County. Car owners from Ohio and Pennsylvania will gather from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Sept. 18. * It's a silver anniversary year for Hot Rod Super Nationals, the annual gathering of hot rod, street machine and two-wheel-drive truck owners and enthusiasts that will reconvene next weekend at Canfield Fairgrounds. The contests, sales and other activities will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 23; 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. May 24; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 25. Buy tickets now at Shell True North Markets. For adults, it'll cost $9 in advance, $12 at the gate; for children ages 6 to 12, it's $5 now, $9 then.
* Classic cars also have a place at the annual Do Wopp Weekend over the Memorial Day holiday at Conneaut Lake Park in western Pennsylvania. Park rides will be open May 23 and 24 while DJs spin tunes and judges choose winners in various contests, including the cars.
