Bids on the exterior modernization of Mercer County Housing Authority's Sharpsville Gardens apartment complex came in about $200,000 over budget Monday. The authority had $1.2 million earmarked for the 61-unit project and may have to remove some items from the job list before awarding contracts Wednesday. Apparent low bidders are:
General contractor: Linton Industries Inc. of New Castle: $1,244,000.
Electrical contractor: Penn-Ohio Electrical Co. of Brookfield: $187,000.
