May 5
Arrest: After a traffic stop on Market Street, police charged a 34-year-old Rochester, Pa., man with furnishing alcohol to underage persons after police alleged he sold six cans of beer. He also was wanted on a warrant charging him with bank fraud.
Theft: A Poland man discovered miscellaneous tools, compact discs and cassettes, a tape recorder and a hat missing from his vehicle parked in the township.
Burglary: Police arrested a 27-year-old Hubbard man on a burglary charge after a woman in the 7000 block of West Boulevard reported a business card, a printed e-mail sheet and a window screen missing from her apartment. He also was charged with telecommunications harassment.
Theft: A Youngstown man discovered someone made a fraudulent $400 withdrawal from his Seven-Seventeen Credit Union savings account.
Bad check: Someone wrote a check to pay for $139 worth of items at Golf Headquarters, 1404 Boardman-Canfield Road, drawn on a closed account.
Drugs: Police arrested a 19-year-old Youngstown man on Sheban Road on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon.
Domestic violence: Police charged a 17-year-old Boardman boy with domestic violence after a family member reported being a victim.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 28-year-old Shadyside Drive on a domestic-violence charge after his girlfriend alleged he slapped her in the mouth.
Assault: Two men reported being assaulted while they were at a residence in the 8400 block of Glenwood Avenue.
Theft: A Canfield woman reported an $18,000 gold engagement ring and a gold wedding band stolen while she was at Stein Mart, 529 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Drugs: Two Youngstown women, both 45, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a suspected glass crack pipe with residue. One woman also was charged with having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and was wanted on a larceny charge.
Domestic violence: A 28-year-old Cook Avenue man was charged with domestic violence after a woman reported being a victim.
Theft: Police arrested a 54-year-old Warren man on a theft charge after an employee at First Place Bank, 724 Boardman-Poland Road, alleged he shortchanged a teller $100.
Possible breaking and entering: An employee at Neumann Dry Cleaning Co., 5315 Market St., discovered a door was forced open and $100 worth of damage was done to a door frame.
Burglary: A Youngstown women discovered someone broke into her former residence in the 100 block of Shadyside Drive and removed a safe, two men's gold chains, a firearm and $200 while she was moving.
Breaking and entering/theft: A Salem man reported someone broke into a rented pole barn and stole a carburetor, a four-wheel vehicle, an air compressor, a hammer and a screwdriver.
Theft: An employee at Dollar General discount store, 271 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported a wallet stolen from a back room.

Auto theft: A 1996 Chevrolet Lumina was stolen from a driveway in the 400 block of Francisca Avenue.
Theft: An employee at Lone Star Steakhouse & amp; Saloon, 1738 Boardman-Poland Road, reported his vehicle broken into, and a cellular phone and CD player stolen while he was at work.
Assault: Police charged a 40-year-old Youngstown man with felonious assault after his girlfriend alleged he assaulted her at a residence in the 300 block of East Midlothian Boulevard. The victim had bruises on her left shoulder, hip and thigh. The man also was wanted on a warrant charging him with domestic violence and contempt of court.
Theft: A man in the 4000 block of South Avenue reported a golf cart stolen from his residence.

Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen from her residence in the 70 block of Melrose Avenue.
Assault: A woman in the 8400 block of Glenwood Avenue reported a family member assaulted her.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 6000 block of Applecrest Court discovered someone poured dirt and gravel into her vehicle's gas tank.
Theft: An employee at Loanstar Mortgage, 8255 South Ave., discovered a loan file was taken without permission.
Theft: Police arrested a 16-year-old Youngstown boy on a theft charge after a pair of tennis shoes was stolen from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Assault: A woman reported a family member assaulted her while she was at a residence in the 3900 block of South Schenley Avenue.
Theft: An employee at Ritz Camera One Hour Photo in the Southern Park Mall reported a bank deposit bag containing $193 and two personal checks totaling $29 stolen.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 1600 block of Country Club Avenue reported a shrub damaged in her yard.
Arrest: After investigating a complaint at a residence in the 5600 block of Southern Boulevard, police charged a 32-year-old Boardman man with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Theft: A 20-year-old Youngstown woman was charged with theft after $208 worth of miscellaneous items was stolen from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall. She also was charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
Arrest: Police charged a 19-year-old Poland man with carrying a concealed weapon after officers say they found a 9 mm handgun under his vehicle's front seat.
Theft: A woman reported her car keys, a house key and a Giant Eagle card stolen while she was at Astre Total Fitness and Rehabilitation Center, 374 Boardman-Poland Road. Also, a woman reported a purse, a calculator, a set of keys and $100 belonging to her daughter were stolen.

Theft: Two women stole two computers from Trust Mark, 8324 South Ave.
Assault: A woman reported a girl assaulted her daughter in a Boardman High School math room, 7777 Glenwood Ave.
Forgery: A Youngstown woman reported someone forged her signature on an insurance document.
Theft: A woman in the 5000 block of Simon Road reported a landscape planter and shrub stolen from her residence.
Arrest: After a traffic stop on U.S. Route 224, a 19-year-old Youngstown woman was charged with receiving stolen property and obstructing official business. Police say they discovered nine pieces of miscellaneous clothing, two electronic games and various creams and body lotions in her vehicle, and that she provided false information about her identity.
Theft: A woman in the 100 block of Forest Hill Drive discovered karate equipment and a bag stolen from her rear porch.
Burglary: A man in the 2400 block of Hunters Ridge reported his residence burglarized and $60, a Sony PlayStation console, a PlayStation game and a DVD player taken.
Burglary: A man in the 80 block of Sciota Avenue reported someone broke into his garage and removed two 10-speed bicycles, a mountain bike, a lawnmower, a weed trimmer and a wheelbarrow.
Criminal damage: An employee at Boardman Molded Products Inc., 1110 Thalia Ave., accused a co-worker of slashing all four tires on his vehicle.

Theft: A man reported a 26-year-old man took 26 OxyContin tablets, 28 Zanex pills, an amplifier and a cellular phone from his vehicle while it was parked at a Shell gas station, 998 E. Western Reserve Road.
Theft: A man reported $90 stolen while he was at an automated teller machine at US Bank, 1201 Doral Drive.

Theft: Police charged a 43-year-old Youngstown man with theft after one bottle each of perfume and body spray were stolen from Sears in the Southern Park Mall.
Drugs: After pulling over a vehicle, police charged a 32-year-old Boardman man with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Criminal damage: An employee at Second National Bank, 60 S. Main St., and a man reported a 14-year-old boy damaged a vehicle's hood with a pair of rollerblades.
May 5
Arrests: Police arrested two Youngstown boys, both 13, and charged one with theft after alleging he traveled on a bicycle stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Delaware Street.
The other was charged with fleeing and eluding a police officer and operating a motor vehicle with no driver's license.

Arrest: A 44-year-old man was arrested at his Massachusetts Avenue residence and charged with failure to appear in court.
