Man found shot on Hubbard Twp. road
HUBBARD -- A 35-year-old Lordstown man found Sunday night in rural Hubbard Township suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Township police identified him as Timothy Wyland of Hallock-Young Road. He is being treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
The man, dressed in street clothes, was found shortly after 11 p.m. lying along the side of Poplar Avenue off Jacobs Road in the southeast portion of the township.
Detective Mike Begeot said police found the man after responding to calls of shots' being fired in the area.
No car was found, but Begeot declined to speculate if the man was shot elsewhere and dumped on Poplar. He declined to say if the man had money or a wallet on him when found.
Begeot said it's early in the investigation and it hasn't been determined where the man was before being located. No arrests have been made.
Begeot did say that township police aren't familiar with him.
