Block watch to presentforum for small businesses
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Southern Boulevard Block Watch will present an economic development forum for small business owners and those interested in starting a business at 7 p.m. May 21 at the St. Dominic Parish Center, 3403 Southern Blvd.
Speakers will discuss how to write a business plan, business loans and grants for small businesses and minority owners. For more information call (330) 782-4508.
Career center seeks employers for externships
WARREN -- The Trumbull Career and Technical Center is asking local employers to help it place students from the administrative technology program into externships. Students have received 650 hours of training in business communication, customer service, accounting, using Microsoft Office and QuickBooks and other skills.
Students will be able to provide 100 hours of free clerical assistance, starting May 27. For information, call Terry Shifflet at (330) 824-2060.
