Baker-Barnhart wedding planned for mid-autumn

XVIENNA -- The engagement of Marcie A. Baker and Brian J. Barnhart, both of 5463 Coachman Road, Columbus, is being announced by the parents of the future groom, Charles and Debra Barnhart, 4218 Sheridan Road.
The bride-elect is a daughter of Brian Shumaker, 1099 Atlantic Ave., Monaca, Pa., and Neva Hicks of Aliquippa, Pa. A paramedic with Pickaway Plains Paramedic Service in Columbus, she graduated from Sinclair Community College in Dayton with paramedic certification. She is attending nursing school at Central Ohio Technical College in Newark.
Her fiance holds a degree in applied science from Youngstown State University and is attending nursing school at Otterbein College in Westerville. He is a firefighter-paramedic with the city of Columbus, Division of Fire.
The couple will issue invitations for their wedding ceremony to take place at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 11 aboard the Explorer of the Seas cruise ship in Miami. Invitations also will be issued for an evening reception to be held Nov. 15 at Ciminero's in Niles.
