MASONS Scottish Rite bodies install officers



Four organizations inducted slates of leaders.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Masonic Scottish Rite Bodies of the Valley of Youngstown held installation ceremonies May 3 at the Youngstown Masonic Temple.
Paul D. Hershey of Argus Lodge 545 was seated as thrice potent master of Hiram Lodge of Perfection. His associate officers are John R. Ervin, deputy master; Thomas A. Kidd, senior warden; George A. Vestal III, junior warden; Robert A. Davison, orator; Dale E. Hawkins, master of ceremonies; and Alan R. Burton, captain of the guard.
Inducted as sovereign prince of Youngstown Council Princes of Jerusalem was Robert E. McBride II of Argus Lodge 545. Those who will serve with him are Tod A. Mumpire, high priest; Richard H. Palm, senior warden; Jerome J. Lyda, junior warden; Perry L. Billman, master of ceremonies; and Ralph M. Fajack, master of entrances.
In Youngstown chapter of Rose Croix, Tad C. Fithian, past master of Western Star Lodge 21, was installed as most wise master, and his fellow leaders are David L. Collins, senior warden; Mark E. Munroe, junior warden; Christopher I. Kelso, orator; Timothy A. Johnson, master of ceremonies; and Salvadore A. Canale, captain of the guard.
Thomas L. Weems, past master of Hillman Lodge 481, was installed as commander in chief of Mahoning Consistory. Those serving with him are Steve J. Schlosser Jr., first lieutenant commander; Richard J. Brady, second lieutenant commander; James S. Young, orator; James C. Kowacich Jr., chancellor; Thomas R. Couche Jr., master of ceremonies; William G. Setree, engineer and senschal; Charles J. Vadino, captain of the guard; Fithian, standard bearer; and Niklaus E. Amstutz, color bearer.
Officers of the coordinate bodies are Howard Bodine Jr., executive secretary; Earl H. Stahl, treasurer; Paul J. Belus, hospitaler; and Paul J. Morice, tiler and sentinel.
