RESULTS Land-use survey



Township residents have expressed their attitudes about land use in a survey completed a year ago:
65.6 percent aren't interested in seeing large retail outlets; 27.8 percent favor them.
There is a split about small local commercial businesses with 49.7 percent opposing them and 40.9 percent in favor.
64.9 percent are against industrial development; 26.4 percent favor it.
63.4 percent favor open space and parks; 22.3 percent do not.
72 percent favor retaining farm land; 14.9 percent do not.
64.7 percent favor bike and walking paths; 26.6 percent do not.
74.3 percent are against any more multiple-family dwellings.
76.9 percent believe the township needs a comprehensive plan to guide growth; 23.1 percent see no need for it.
