MERCER COUNTY Grants approved
Pa. state Sen. Robert Robbins of Greenville, R-50th, announced the awarding of $138,000 in state recreation grants for three Mercer County projects. The money comes from the Community Conservation Partnerships Program of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. The grants are:
$76,000 to Mercer County Regional Council of Governments to improve the Shenango Valley Softball Complex in Shenango Township.
$40,000 to West Middlesex for development of a regional skate park.
$22,000 to Mercer County to develop a countywide rural recreation plan.
