ASSOCIATIONS
XMahoning Retired Teachers Association will hold a luncheon meeting Wednesday at Antone's Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St., Boardman. An 11 a.m. social hour with free hearing tests available will precede lunch at noon. Dr. Frank Weldele and Dr. Sheryl Sidbeck, audiologists from the Center for Hearing Care, will discuss hearing issues and MRTA benefits and give a presentation on their missionary work in Guatemala.
XO-My-O Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Johnny's on Midlothian Boulevard. Cost of the buffet will be $18. XTrumbull-Mahoning-Ohio Association of Occupational Health Nurses will meet Tuesday at the Holiday Inn, Boardman. A board meeting at 5 p.m. will be followed by dinner at 6 and the program at 7. Shawn Bryant will present "9/11, Lessons Learned at Somerset." Cost is $20, and reservations must be made by Monday by calling Ceil Clair at (330) 372-2858. Entree choices will be chicken cordon bleu, shrimp and scallop saut & eacute; or roast round of beef with mushroom sauce.
XTrumbull Retired Teachers Association will hold a board of directors meeting Tuesday at Mocha House in Warren. The meeting includes an optional lunch. A regular meeting will begin at 1 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church on Drexel Avenue, Warren. Scholarship winners will be announced, plans will be made for an Ohio bicentennial theme at the next general meeting in June and updates will be given by all committee chairpersons.

XAuxiliary to VFW Post 3538 of Struthers will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the post home for a Mother's Day casserole dinner. Members should take a casserole and place setting. A regular meeting will follow.
XK. of C. 3144 Father Gallagher Council Auxiliary will hold a luncheon and meeting at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the B & amp;O Restaurant. Mary Ferenchik will preside, and hostess will be Madelyn Pedaline.
XK. of C. 4224 Ladies of Struthers will meet at 6 p.m. Monday for a Mother's Day dinner at the Blue Wolf in Struthers. A Mother of the Year will be honored. Birthright gifts will be collected. Hostesses will be Sally Gugliotti, Eleanore Timko and Becky Gugliotti.
XK-C Ettes of Poland Council 4471 will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Blue Wolf in Struthers for installation of officers. Hostesses will be the officers, Harriet C. Budney, Ruth Burns, Mary Galich and Theresa Mangone.
XSt. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary will have a noon luncheon and meeting Monday in the second floor dining rooms. Plans will be made for the May 22 and 23 flower sale. A talk on yoga mediation will be given by guest speaker Eleanor Ford.
XVFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the post home, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, for installation of officers.

XChaney High School January and June Classes of 1948 will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday for lunch at Charly's in Austintown. The 55-year reunion will be held Aug. 30 at Birch Hill Cabin in Mill Creek Park. XWestern Reserve Knitting Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Park in Canfield. The program will be "The Traveling Slip Stitch" by Jo Riter. Members should take two colors of yarn and the appropriate needles. There is no homework.
LIBRARY FRIENDS
XFriends of the Boardman Library will meet at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the library community room. Jessica Trickett from the Arms Museum will present "Who's the Fairest of Them All?" Reservations will be taken for the annual spring luncheon to be held June 9 at the library. Cost is $6.50 and may be paid at this meeting.

Ed Mattson, a medical research specialist, president and executive director of the Linda Mattson Wings of Hope Cancer Foundation, Indianapolis, and member of the Kiwanis International Speakers Bureau, will be the guest speaker. His program will focus on medical research covering subjects such as stem cell research and targeted gene therapy, the latest cancer treatments, the human genome project, umbilical cord blood banking and the global problem of treating children with cancer. The public is invited.
