First Niles Financialto buy back 5% of stock
NILES -- First Niles Financial, the holding company for Home Federal Savings and Loan Association of Niles, said it intends to buy back about 71,600 of its shares, which is about 5 percent of its outstanding stock. Shares will be bought over the next year at market prices.
William Stephens, company chairman, president and chief executive, said the company's stock is an attractive investment opportunity. The company recently completed buying back about 75,400 shares.
TCTC supervisors class
LORDSTOWN -- The Trumbull Career & amp; Technical Center will hold a class called "Supervising the First-Time Employee" from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and next Thursday. It will teach supervisors how to deal with high school graduates and dropouts, former stay-at-home moms, widows and those coming off public assistance. The cost is $45. GM declares dividendof 50 cents a share
DETROIT -- General Motors Corp. declared a quarterly dividend of 50 cents a share on its common stock. The dividend is payable June 10 to holders of record as of May 16. The dividend rate is unchanged from the previous quarter.
