Girl in critical condition after traffic accident
COLUMBIANA -- A 16-year-old girl was critically injured in a traffic accident in Fairfield Township.
Amanda Radman of 44122 Kelly Park Road, Fairfield Township, was driving west on Kelly Park Road about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday when she failed to stop at the intersection of Middleton Road, a spokeswoman for the Lisbon Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said this morning.
Amanda's car collided in the intersection with a minivan being driven south on Middleton Road by Deborah Landers, 41, 3849 Kirk Road, Columbiana.
The crash caused Amanda, who was not wearing a seat belt, to be partly thrown from her vehicle, the patrol spokeswoman said.
Landers was wearing a seat belt. She was treated at Salem Community Hospital.
Amanda was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where she was in critical condition this morning.
The accident remains under investigation. No charges have been filed, the patrol spokeswoman said.
