AKRON, Ohio (AP) -- Chan Perry and Shawn Garrett homered and Landon Jacobsen pitched a three-hitter as the Altoona Curve beat the Akron Aeros 11-1 Tuesday night in the Eastern League.
Perry had a two-run shot, his second homer of the season, in the first inning and Garrett had a two-run homer, his sixth, in the sixth inning.
Josh Bonifay had a two-run single in the eighth and an RBI sacrifice in the ninth for Altoona.
Jacobsen (4-1) gave up a leadoff homer to Corey Smith in the fifth inning, his fifth. Jacobsen walked two and struck out one.
Kyle Denney (4-1) gave up four runs, all earned, on seven hits in six innings for Akron.
