YOUNGSTOWN -- The Dream Team Block Watch on the South Side will have a spring cleanup from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The block watch includes East Earle, East Glenaven, East Evergreen and East Warren avenues.
Anyone needing trash bags or gloves can pick them up at 46 E. Evergreen at 8:45 a.m. Saturday.
School fund-raiser
STRUTHERS -- The high school choral department is selling small wooden replicas of the old high school to raise funds for daily operations of the music program.
The replicas are about 9 1/2 inches long and 4 inches high and are manufactured by Shepherd's Heart Foundation, which employs handicapped adults in Salem.
The replicas cost $16 each. Order forms are available in all city school buildings or by calling Rob Wagner, choral director, at (330) 750-1062, ext. 3037.
The replicas will be available through July 1. Quantities are limited.
Commission meetingwill be held Thursday
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Mahoning County commissioners' meeting scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday has been postponed and is rescheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday in the commissioners' hearing room, in the basement of the county courthouse.
The meeting was postponed so Commissioner Vicki Allen Sherlock, who will be out of town this week, can attend. Commissioners also will hold their regularly scheduled meeting at 10 a.m. May 15.
