COLUMBIANA Spring Fling is scheduled at Joshua Dixon

COLUMBIANA -- The public is invited to a fund-raiser at Joshua Dixon Elementary School that's held annually to help pay for the school's yearbook and improvements to its playground.
The sixth annual Family Spring Fling is set for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the school, 333 N. Middle St.
Activities will be in the parking lot, weather permitting. If the weather is bad, the event will be held in the school's all-purpose room.
The spring fling is free, though donations will be sought.
Attractions: $1
Each of the attractions at the event -- which will include a giant slide, dunk tank, cow-chip bingo, face-painting and climbing wall -- will cost $1.
Refreshments will be available.
About 300 people typically attend the event each year. The spring fling raises about $1,800 annually, said Kim Sharshan, one of the organizers.
