COLUMBIANA CORNER My, what a big courtroom you have

Among the events slated for a recent Law Day observance by the Columbiana County Bar Association was a mock trial of the Big Bad Wolf staged for students by bar association members.
Little Red Riding Hood's nemesis was charged with aggravated menacing and kidnapping.
The humorous trial, put on in the county courthouse, was acted out by area judges and attorneys, including Judge Mark Frost of county municipal court as the Big Bad Wolf and Atty. Kathleen Bartlett of Salem as Little Red Riding Hood.
No word on the wolf's fate at press time.
Train drain
Leetonia officials are lucky they can still hear.
The village office on Main Street is about 100 yards from busy railroad tracks.
Gary Phillips, village administrator, raised his voice during a recent phone conversation to be heard above the din of a passing train, complete with blaring whistle.
"It gets pretty bad," Phillips said. "They go through quite a bit."
