Married to the former Elizabeth "Beth" Crofford of Youngstown. They have a son, Aidan, nine months old.
Received a bachelor's degree in sport administration from the University of Toledo in 1994, and a master's degree in the same studies from Kent State in 1998.
Launched his career at the University of Toledo as the assistant athletics promotions director from 1993-94.
Served as assistant athletics marketing director at YSU from 1994-95.
Joined Erie SeaWolves minor baseball team as group sales director from 1995-96.
Spent a year in private business from 1996-97.
At Youngstown State as assistant director of athletic development from 1997-99.
At Saint Xavier University in Chicago as assistant director of development from 1999-2000.
Has spent the past 21/2 years in the development department at Eastern Kentucky University.
Directed a fund-raising plan at EKU for a $3 million multi-purpose indoor athletic facility, and a membership campaign for the Colonel Club, which is EKU's athletics booster organization.
Then became EKU's collegiate director of development, directing all major fund-raising efforts for the athletics program, including office and locker-room renovations totaling $250,00.
Most recently served as EKU's director of major gifts and special projects for the past 1 1/2 years, helping to implement a $50 million capital campaign and also planning other special funding projects.
