BASEBALL
Thiel 6, John Carroll 5 -- Jay Dahl's RBI sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted Thiel. Freshman Brett Bell, a Badger High graduate, scored the deciding run for the Tomcats (22-17).
GOLF
Grove City freshman -- Justin Tulk will compete in the NCAA Division III tournament May 12-15 at Dornoch Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio. Tulk is the first Grove City golfer to qualify for the NCAA championships and is just one of five golfers nationally to earn a spot on an individual basis.
WOMEN'S TENNIS
Slippery Rock 5, Bentley 0 -- Slippery Rock advances to the finals of the NCAA East Regional tournament at Slippery Rock University. Senior ChristyMichaus teamed with her sister Ashley to win at No. 1 doubles 8-2 and followed that with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles.
