Royals 5, Orioles 2
BALTIMORE -- Miguel Asencio pitched his first complete game in the major leagues, and Mike Sweeney and Ken Harvey homered as Kansas City stopped a four-game losing streak.
Now in his second season, Asencio (2-0) never pitched more than seven innings in any of his previous 26 starts. The right-hander allowed seven hits, struck out six and walked three.
Kansas City trailed 2-0 until Sweeney and Harvey homered in a four-run sixth against Rick Helling (1-3).
Twins 11, Red Sox 7
BOSTON -- Matthew LeCroy homered twice and Dustan Mohr homered with a career-high four RBIs as Minnesota matched Boston's six-run inning.
The Twins led 5-0 before Boston scored six in the seventh on six consecutive hits to take the lead. But Minnesota strung together seven hits and a walk in the eighth to make it 11-6 and win its fourth consecutive game.
Johan Santana (1-0) stopped the Red Sox in the seventh after two consecutive Twins relievers failed to retire a batter. He allowed one run, two hits and a walk in 12/3 innings.
Mariners 9, White Sox 2
CHICAGO -- Mike Cameron, playing on the first anniversary of his four-homer game in Chicago, went 3-for-3 with a home run and three runs scored to lead Seattle.
Cameron also walked twice for Seattle, which had a season-high 16 hits. Brett Boone went 3-for-5 and Edgar Martinez got two hits to reach 2,000 for his career.
Ryan Franklin (2-2) gave up a leadoff single to D'Angelo Jimenez, then didn't allow another hit until the sixth inning. He retired 11 straight batters at one point and gave up just five hits in eight innings.
Yankees 5, Athletics 3
NEW YORK -- Slumping Hideki Matsui neatly slapped a key hit-and-run single and an RBI double, and made two nice catches in left field to lead New York.
David Wells pitched the Yankees to their third win in a row and 12th in 15 games. Manager Joe Torre moved into a tie for 14th place on baseball's career victory list with Fred Clarke at 1,602.
After the start was delayed 78 minutes by rain, Wells (4-0) and Ted Lilly (2-1) dueled into the middle innings.
Wells made only one mistake, giving up a two-run homer to ninth-place hitter Eric Byrnes in the third. Lilly, pitching for the first time against the team that traded him last July 5, gave back the lead in the bottom half on Todd Zeile's two-run homer.
Wells gave up five hits in seven innings.
Devil Rays 2, Tigers 0
DETROIT -- Joe Kennedy pitched the first one-hitter in Tampa Bay history.
The punchless Tigers dropped to 3-24 with their fifth straight loss. They have been shut out a major league-leading seven times -- Philadelphia is next with four.
Marlon Anderson hit an RBI single in the eighth inning for the Devil Rays, who snapped a four-game losing skid. Travis Lee doubled and scored on Toby Hall's sacrifice fly in the ninth.
Kennedy (2-2) allowed only a first-inning single to Andres Torres, walked one and struck out six. He threw 107 pitches.
Blue Jays 3, Angels 1
TORONTO -- Cory Lidle pitched a three-hitter and Carlos Delgado hit a three-run homer in the first inning to lead Toronto.
The game was interrupted briefly with two outs in the ninth inning when a fan came out of seats in the right-field corner and jogged toward second base, pointing at the bag.
Toronto second baseman Orlando Hudson got into a football stance and shove the fan, who was a male. Three security guards then tackled the fan and escorted him off the field.
As for the game, Tim Salmon extended his hitting streak to 19 games with a solo homer in the fourth, the only run off Lidle (4-2).
NATIONAL EAGUE
Cardinals 8, Expos 1
ST. LOUIS -- Jim Edmonds homered in a five-run first inning to back Jason Simontacchi.
Fernando Vina homered and went 3-for-3 for the Cardinals, who extended their winning streak to a season-best five games. Mike Matheny also homered and drove in three runs, and Edmonds had three hits.

Cubs 7, Rockies 4
CHICAGO -- Mark Bellhorn broke out of a slump, going 2-for-2 with three RBIs, and Sammy Sosa, Ramon Martinez and Shawn Estes also drove in runs for the Cubs.
Shawn Estes (2-3) won for the first time since April 15, allowing four runs -- three earned -- and 10 hits in 71/3 innings. Joe Borowski got four outs for his fifth save.
Mets 9, Brewers 3
MILWAUKEE -- Tom Glavine (4-2) gave up three runs and eight hits in seven innings as New York got 15 hits and stopped a five-game losing streak. Milwaukee has lost six straight and nine of 10.
Former Mets pitcher Glendon Rusch (1-5) allowed five runs -- two earned -- and seven hits in four innings. He was hurt by infield errors in each of the first three innings.
Astros 4, Marlins 3
HOUSTON -- Pinch-hitter Jose Vizcaino singled home the go-ahead run off Brad Penny (2-2) in the sixth as the Houston overcame a 3-0 deficit and stopped a three-game losing streak.
