Streets closed for funeral procession

YOUNGSTOWN -- Police will close certain streets today for the funeral procession of Patrolman Michael T. Hartzell, who was killed in the line of duty early Tuesday.
At 8 a.m. today, South Schenley Avenue in front of St. Christine Church will be closed.
During the 10 a.m. funeral at the church, the intersections of South Schenley and Kirk Road and South Schenley and Canfield Road will be closed to through traffic.
Streets on the route from Higgins Reardon Funeral Home on Mahoning Avenue to St. Christine and from the church to Resurrection Cemetery on North Raccoon Road will be temporarily closed as the motor procession passes.
The motorcade will go east on Mahoning Avenue, south on Meridian Road, east on Industrial Road to Bears Den Road and south on South Schenley to the church.
After the service, the motorcade will travel south on South Schenley to Canfield Road, west on Canfield to Meridian, then north on Meridian to Mahoning and west on Mahoning to North Raccoon. The cemetery is on the left.
