Several programs are planned for McConnell's Mill, Moraine
PORTERSVILLE, Pa. -- Hikes, history and getting back to nature will be the themes of programs offered this weekend at McConnell's Mill and Moraine state parks.

Beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, a two-hour spring nature hike will take place at Moraine State Park. A naturalist will begin the hike at the Sunken Garden Trailhead area, and participants will be able to look for wildflowers, birds and other signs of spring. Field guides also will be available.
A children's program, "Sharing Nature with Children," will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pleasant Valley Trailhead near the Pleasant Valley picnic area at Moraine. A naturalist will conduct the event, designed to explore ways children can enjoy nature.
